The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has concluded its 2026 summer centre activities, which were held over one month across five centres at government schools.

More than 950 students of different age groups participated in the programme, which was organised in cooperation with 22 strategic partner organisations.

HE Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, attended the closing ceremony.

Held under the theme "Invest in Their Summer through Creativity", the centres delivered more than 500 activities covering culture, arts, creativity and design, sustainability and climate change, Islamic education, science, technology and artificial intelligence.

The programme also included social activities, communication skills, sport, health and nutrition, cybersecurity, digital solutions, national identity and educational values.

Fatima Yousef Al Obaidli, Assistant Director of the Schools and Students Affairs Department at the Ministry, said the summer centres reflected the Ministry’s commitment to investing in people by providing a safe and stimulating educational environment.

She explained that the programmes combined education and entertainment while helping students build confidence, develop their abilities and strengthen values such as social responsibility, teamwork and national identity.

Activities included training workshops, interactive programmes, competitions, educational field trips and community partnerships.

Hessa Lahdan Al Mohannadi, Director of the Al Khor Secondary School for Girls centre and representative of the summer centre directors, said the programme’s success reflected the Ministry’s continued support and its commitment to helping students use their time productively and discover their talents.

The Ministry said it would continue developing the summer centres and expanding their programmes to meet students’ needs and support the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
