The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has highlighted the industrial sector indicators for the second quarter of 2021.
The announcement was made by the Ministry via its Twitter account today.

According to MoCI, 12 new factories were introduced during the second quarter whereas number of workers in factories saw an increase of 719.
32 local products were registered during the second quarter, while 68 percent of total factories in Qatar have been identified to adhere to the industrial requirements of the Ministry.
It was also highlighted that an average of five days was required for industrial development services during this period.
Moreover, the contribution of manufacturing companies to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) during the first quarter of 2021 was recognized at QR 12.025 billion.
The industrial production manufacturing industries grew substantially by 105.2 percent during the month of April 2021.
Furthermore, revenue obtained from total exports of local origin was recognized at QR 68.282 million.
