Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education will honour 80 teachers from public schools on Wednesday, October 7, as part of its World Teachers’ Day celebration.
The event will be held under the patronage of HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, under the theme “Giving Brings Generations Fruit.”
80 teachers to be recognised
The ceremony will recognise 80 teachers for their distinguished contributions to education, including their efforts to improve the learning process, develop students’ abilities and skills, and instil values that support their personal development and preparation for the future.
The event forms part of the Ministry’s efforts to highlight the importance of teachers and acknowledge their role in shaping future generations.
Exhibition to showcase educational projects
An accompanying exhibition will feature a selection of educational projects and applied research presented by students and teachers.
The exhibition will highlight how teachers support students in developing:
- Research skills
- Critical and analytical thinking
- Innovation
- Use of modern knowledge and technology
It will also showcase educational practices aimed at improving learning outcomes.
Supporting Qatar National Vision 2030
The Ministry said the celebration reflects its commitment to recognising teachers and increasing public awareness of the importance of their educational role.
The initiative also aligns with the human development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030, which places education and the development of national capabilities among the country’s key priorities.
