The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has explained that non-COVID-19 patients from the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Al Wakra Hospital have been transferred to the Women’s Wellness and Research Center (WWRC) to meet their healthcare needs.
The decision made is in line with MoPH’s earlier announcement stating that Al Wakra Hospital will be designated as a medical facility for COVID-19 patients.

Moreover, it was pointed out that all Al Wakra patients due for outpatient appointments will be contacted either through a phone call or a text message to inform the patients that they have been booked for a virtual or face-to-face consultation.
One can contact Al Wakra Hospital’s hotline number at 4011 5442/4011 4755 for assistance. Furthermore, all women with obstetric or gynecological issues, who are residents of Al Wakra and the surrounding areas, in need of urgent obstetrics and gynecology services are required to call the Women’s Wellness and Research Center Emergency Department on hotline number 4026 1091.
A specialist doctor will evaluate the urgency of the women’s complaint and provide advice on whether to report to the Women's Wellness and Research Center’s Emergency Department or other health provider facility as appropriate. The Ambulance Service is also available to provide rapid support for severe medical emergencies.
