The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (MoE) has announced that mosque doors will open 20 minutes before the second call to prayer on Friday.
This announcement was made today through MoE’s Twitter account and highlighted that it will be open for the mosques to receive worshippers for the Friday sermon and prayer.
MoE pointed out that the decision falls within the framework of continuous coordination between the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and the Ministry of Public Health and following up on the latest developments in public health indicators and in accordance with the procedures and measures taken to address the Covid-19 virus pandemic.

The MoE has also decided to increase the number of mosques designated for Friday prayer, especially in crowded areas.
MoE urges all honorable worshipers to fully cooperate with the brothers in charge of supervising mosques while adhering to the precautionary measures, the most important of which is keeping the mosque windows open.
