The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) has communicated that the total land transport licensing transactions for the first quarter of this year amounts to 2177.  

More specifically, the total transactions comprise 1394 transactions concerning land transport activities, 561 concerning limousine business activities, and 222 focused on car rental business activities.

According to MoTC, a few of the key services provided under land transport activities include issuing and renewing commercial registers, issuing and renewing commercial licenses, and adding an activity to commercial registers.

When looking into land transport activities, 737 transactions focused on issuing and renewing commercial registers took place. Moreover, 602 transactions were made for issuing and renewing commercial licenses.

285 transactions were completed for issuing and renewing commercial registers while 262 transactions were made for issuing and renewing commercial licenses in the case of limousine business activities.

Under MoTC’s Qatar Digital Government initiative, it was revealed that over 9 million transactions have been completed over the course of four years by the Government Contact Center.

The Government Contact Center provides support services to the public and answers inquiries related to all government services via the hotline 109.
