Over the last few days, some ‘inappropriate’ pictures of a female Qatar Airways crewmember had been doing the rounds on social media.
The airline company posted a clarification on its Arabic Twitter feed saying the picture was at least four years old.
It continued that when the pictures first surfaced in 2013, an internal investigation had been carried out and services of the staff in question terminated, reported The Peninsula.

“These are old images that appeared in 2013/early 2014, following which Qatar Airways conducted an internal investigation and terminated the services of the crew involved.”
The statement added that such cases were rare and would be dealt with severely as and when they happen.
