Qatar enters ‘third hottest month of the year,’ says QMD

Qatar’s Meteorology Department has come out with a climate guide for June, calling it the ‘the first month of summer and the third hottest month of the year in Doha.’

The average daily temperature during the month is expected to be 34.7°C.

Historically, the lowest temperature recorded in June was 21°C in 1975, while the highest was 49.1°C, in 2010.

Fresh to strong northwesterly winds are common during June. These winds can cause blowing dust, reduced visibility, and high waves. Wind speeds are generally stronger during the daytime and decrease during the evening.
