Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in collaboration with the Academic Bridge Program (ABP), a member of Qatar Foundation, announced a new initiative enabling high school graduates from the humanities track to pursue science-related fields at higher education institutions.

Under the initiative, students will be eligible to enrol in STEM disciplines provided they meet admission requirements and successfully complete the Academic Bridge Program in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) track, in line with established procedures.

The announcement was made during a Press conference held by the Higher Education Affairs Sector at the Ministry’s headquarters.

Officials said the initiative is part of broader efforts to expand academic pathways for students and strengthen their preparedness for future specialisations. It is also aimed at aligning educational outcomes with the evolving needs of the national labour market and supporting the goals of sustainable development.
