Qatar has expressed solidarity with Lebanon as it deals with the aftermath of an enormous explosion that rocked the country's capital on Tuesday.
Upon the directives of HH the Amir, Qatar sent urgent medical assistance to Lebanon. An Amiri Air Force plane carrying the medical aid left for Rafic Hariri International Airport on Wednesday morning. The shipment includes essential medical supplies to treat those injured in the Beirut explosion.
In addition to the medical assistance, Qatar also sent a fully equipped team from the Qatari Search and Rescue Team of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) to participate in the search and rescue operations in Beirut.
Qatar was quick to offer a helping hand to Lebanon and express its support to the country to help alleviate the impact of the large-scale devastation.
