Qatar’s Ministry of Municipality has invited members of the public to participate in a community cleanup campaign at Beach 974 on Friday, 7 August 2026.
The event will begin at 6 pm and aims to bring residents together to help protect Qatar’s marine environment while encouraging a stronger culture of volunteerism and community responsibility.

The campaign will take place at Beach 974, one of Doha’s well-known waterfront destinations.
Through the initiative, volunteers will contribute to efforts to keep the beach clean and reduce waste affecting the surrounding coastal and marine environment.
The Ministry promoted the campaign under the message “Our Sea, Our Responsibility,” emphasising that maintaining clean beaches requires collective participation from the wider community.
