Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi held a series of bilateral meetings on Friday with foreign affairs officials from Saudi Arabia, Brunei Darussalam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, the Netherlands and Panama.
The meetings took place on the sidelines of the commemorative event marking the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, held in Manila, the Philippines.
HE Al Muraikhi met separately with Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al Khereiji, Brunei Darussalam’s Second Minister of Foreign Affairs Erywan Pehin Yusof, Philippines’ Secretary of Foreign Affairs Maria Theresa P. Lazaro, Indonesia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugyono, Vietnam’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung, Bangladesh’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Khalilur Rahman, The Netherlands’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Tom Berendsen and Panama’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Javier Martinez-Acha.
The meetings reviewed cooperation relations between Qatar and the respective countries, ways to support and strengthen them, and a range of issues of mutual interest.
