The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has announced that electronic registration for its Social Responsibility Project for Private Schools and Kindergartens will officially open on January 20, 2026.
Designed to ease educational costs for families, the initiative will offer 3,500 free and discounted seats across private schools and kindergartens, with students able to continue on these seats until graduation.
The seats span multiple categories, including fully free seats, discounted seats, free seats for students with disabilities, seats allocated at the value of educational vouchers for Qatari students, and fully free evening education programs in select participating schools.
MoEHE confirmed in an official video that the program is open to families of all nationalities, provided they meet the ministry’s income-based eligibility criteria.
Who is Eligible?
Free seats: Total family income must not exceed QAR 10,000
Discounted seats: Total family income must not exceed QAR 15,000
Voucher-value seats for Qatari students: Total family income must not exceed QAR 25,000
Applications will be submitted electronically via the official MoEHE website starting January 20, 2026. The seats are available across multiple curricula, including British, Indian, American and the national program. All awarded seats are sustainable and remain valid for students until graduation. The initiative forms part of Qatar’s broader efforts to promote educational equity and support social development, aligning with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.
