Qatar’s attorney general has ordered the arrest of Finance Minister Ali Shareef Al Emadi to question him on suspected ‘damage to public money, abuse of function and abuse of power.’
According to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the order follows the review of reports regarding crime related to the public sector.

The attorney general has ordered expanded investigations into the crimes mentioned in the documents.
Al Emadi has been Qatar’s Minister of Finance since June 2013.
