The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) held an awareness workshop for Qatari athletes participating in the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, as preparations continue for Team Qatar's participation in the continental event.
The Asian Games will take place in Japan from September 19 to October 4.
The workshop covered a range of organisational and awareness-related topics aimed at preparing athletes for their participation in the Games.
Team Qatar's administrative delegation presented key information about the event and highlighted the main instructions and regulations issued by the Olympic Council of Asia.
The workshop also saw the launch of the Mirqab Platform, designed to provide sports federations with easy access to the latest updates and information related to participation in the Games.
The Qatar Anti-Doping Agency delivered an awareness presentation covering anti-doping matters and the main requirements athletes are expected to follow.
Team Qatar's media delegation also conducted a session on dealing with the media during the Games, the importance of athletes' media presence and the effective and responsible use of their digital platforms.
The session highlighted the importance of using these platforms in a way that reflects a positive image of Qatari sport.
Qatar weightlifters Fares Ibrahim and Ouissal Ikhlef were among the athletes attending the workshop.
