Qatar Red Crescent Society has launched its Back to School 2026 fundraising campaign under the slogan #MakeStudentsHappy, aiming to help students continue their education and provide them with the supplies and opportunities needed to build a better future.
Under its 2026 action plan, QRCS has proposed a package of education initiatives worth more than QAR 12 million.
The projects include support for students in need, the provision of school bags and stationery, school maintenance and furnishing, and scholarships for selected university majors.
In addition to Qatar, the campaign will support education initiatives in Palestine (Gaza), Jordan, Sudan, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan and Niger, reaching more than 24,000 students.
Abdullah Sultan Al-Qatan, Acting Secretary-General of QRCS, said education is a fundamental right, while humanitarian crises, disasters and difficult living conditions continue to prevent millions of children around the world from accessing stable educational opportunities.
He said the Back to School campaign aims to give students the opportunity to continue their education and strengthen their ability to build a better future for themselves, their families and their communities.
Al-Qatan added that the annual campaign turns donations from people in Qatar into sustainable educational and humanitarian support by providing students with essential learning needs and helping them continue their academic journey.
The campaign offers several donation options. The Starter Share, valued at QAR 100, provides stationery and school supplies for one student, while the Bag Share is valued at QAR 250.
The Group Share is available for QAR 1,000, the Class Share for QAR 2,500, the Scholarship Share for QAR 5,100, and the School Share for QAR 70,000.
Members of the public can find campaign details and donate through the QRCS mobile app, the donor service on 66666364, home donation collection on 33998898, or through QRCS donation agents and desks at malls and shopping centres.
Al-Qatan called on donors to contribute their zakat and charitable donations to the campaign, stressing that every contribution can help a student continue their education and move closer to achieving their ambitions.
