Qatar has been experiencing good rains and cool climate over the last few days. While the frequency and strength of rain is set to come down, the climate will cool down further, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).

The QMD, during its latest weather update, said temperatures would drop from Friday night onwards, until Monday.

“A drop in temperatures from today evening 27/1/2023 and an increase in the feeling of coldness until Monday,” QMD said on social media.

On Saturday morning, Turayna area experienced the lowest temperature of 10°C while it was 15°C in Doha, said the QMD.

During the four-day period, the temperature at night could go as low as 10°C to 15°C while the maximum temperature during the day could vary between 18°C to 22°C.

It added that the southern and outer regions in the country could become even colder.

While the intensity and frequency of rains will gradually decrease, there will be scattered rain at sea. Since there is a possibility of high tides across some beaches, the department has urged citizens to keep away from all marine activities.

Qatar has been experiencing beautiful climate over the last few days and the rains seemed to enhance the country’s beauty.

A beautiful rainbow, a rare occurrence in the country, was also visible over Doha’s cityscape after a rainy morning.

Meanwhile, a more powerful natural phenomenon — a water sprout — was also spotted in the sea, near the Ras Laffan platform, in the northeast of Qatar.
