Second Autonomous e-Mobility Forum Set for Doha September 7-8 With 40+ Speakers

The second edition of the Autonomous e-Mobility Forum will take place on September 7 and 8 at the Qatar National Convention Centre, under the patronage of HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, Minister of Transport, and hosted by the Ministry of Transport.

More than 40 regional and international speakers will take part, representing government entities, industry, policymaking, academia, technology, research and different areas of the mobility sector.

The programme includes more than 50 keynote sessions and panel discussions across 10 specialised tracks, exploring autonomous mobility and electric transportation through technology, policy, regulation, sustainability, infrastructure, research and practical applications.

This year’s edition will also include a programme aimed at the general public, providing entrepreneurs, startups, students, young professionals and emerging innovators with opportunities to engage with the mobility sector and contribute ideas about its future.

An accompanying exhibition will feature more than 20 display spaces, giving visitors the opportunity to explore autonomous vehicles, electric mobility solutions, smart infrastructure technologies and emerging innovations.

The Ministry of Transport also highlighted Qatar’s progress in electric public transport, with more than 70% of the public bus fleet now electric and a target of reaching 100% by 2030.

The Ministry has also completed the first phase of operational trials for autonomous electric taxis, assessing technical and operational aspects as well as safety and efficiency. A second phase is expected as Qatar works towards potentially expanding their use within the public transport network.
