Qatar Foundation's (QF) Pre-University Education (PUE), through the Education Development Institute (EDI), organised the Teaching and Learning Forum 2026 under the theme "Teaching with Purpose: Rooted in Culture and Values, Shaping the Future." The forum brought together 1,974 educators to advance learning and professional development and encourage the exchange of expertise and innovative teaching practices. It highlighted the role of teachers in enriching learning experiences and preparing future generations, and featured 28 specialised workshops involving experts and education practitioners from QF and schools across Qatar.
The workshops covered topics related to developing teaching methods, integrating technology into education, assessment approaches and student engagement. They also presented educational experiences and practices that contribute to improving the quality of education and learning outcomes. Held as part of the PUE Forum 2026, the event provided a platform for professional networking and knowledge exchange, enabling participants to discuss educational challenges and explore innovative solutions while highlighting the importance of connecting teaching practices with culture and values and establishing lifelong learning as a cornerstone of professional development.
EDI Director Sara Rashid Al Kuwari emphasised the importance of investing in teachers and creating opportunities for them to exchange knowledge and expertise, strengthening their ability to make a positive and lasting impact on learners' lives. Al Kuwari said: "The Teaching and Learning Forum 2026 was not merely a professional event; it embodied the passion of educators who came together to make a real difference in learners' lives. Through 28 workshops, we witnessed the strength of Qatar Foundation's Pre-University Education community and its spirit of collaboration and exchange of knowledge and expertise, confirming that investing in teachers is the best investment in the future."
Associate Director of Academic Development at EDI Marwa Bkairat said the forum provided space for mutual learning and strengthened professional connections among teachers, contributing to the development of teaching practices and the establishment of a culture of collaboration. Bkairat said: "Participating in the Teaching and Learning Forum 2026 was an inspiring opportunity in every sense, bringing Qatar Foundation's Pre-University Education community together to learn from one another and exchange ideas and experiences.
The enthusiasm and collaboration we witnessed demonstrated the strength of teachers when we connect, share and grow together. By investing in our teachers and providing opportunities for mutual learning, we are not only strengthening education today but also helping to shape a better future for our learners and our community." She noted that the forum highlighted the importance of diverse experiences and perspectives in enriching teaching practices and strengthening teachers' ability to develop approaches that respond to students' needs through dialogue, the exchange of experiences and shared expertise.
Associate Director of Business Development at EDI Elsa Moghabghab said the forum's true strength lies in its ability to bring educators together to exchange experiences, enrich ideas and learn from one another. She said: "Every conversation and every shared experience reminds us that together, we achieve what we cannot achieve individually." She added that drawing on diverse expertise and perspectives strengthens the collective ability to make a positive and lasting impact on students' learning journeys.
