Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has predicted that temperatures in the country would start rising gradually midway through March as the Sudan seasonal low deepens over the Arabian Peninsula.

“Sudan’s seasonal low deepens in the Arabian Peninsula and meets cut-off lows from Europe, causing instability over the Arabian Peninsula. Temperatures rise gradually during the second half of the month,” the QMD said in a post on social media.

According to the QMD, the daily mean temperature for March has been 21.9°C.

The highest-ever recorded temperature in Qatar for March was 39°C in 1998, while the lowest was 8.2°C in 1984.
