Qatar Central Bank announces the issue of the fifth series of Qatari Riyal banknotes.

The new Qatari Riyal banknotes will come into circulation starting December 18, in line with celebrating Qatar National Day 2020.

In addition, Qatar Central Bank also revealed a new 200 Qatari Riyal denomination.

The new banknotes display pictures of the Palace of Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim Al Thani, National Museum of Qatar (NMOQ), Lusail Stadium, and other significant monuments of Qatar.

The old banknotes can be exchanged for the new ones through local banks within three months. Three months, it can be done from Qatar Central Bank.

New Qatari Riyal: One

The new banknote of QAR 1 shows Traditional Dhow and the Oyster and Pearl Monument in Corniche.

New Qatari Riyal: Five

The new banknote of QAR 5 shows a traditional desert scene comprising fauna (Arab horses, Camel, Oryxes), flora (Al Qataf), and 'hair tent (buryuut hajar).

New Qatari Riyal: Ten

The new banknote of QAR 10 shows the Lusail Stadium, Torch Tower at Aspize Zone, Sidra Medicine, and Education City.

New Qatari Riyal: Fifty

The new banknote of QAR 50 shows the Qatar Central Bank building and the Ministry of Finance building.

 

New Qatari Riyal: One hundred

The new banknote of QAR 100 shows Abu Al Qubaib Mosque.

New Qatari Riyal: Two hundred

The new banknote of QAR 200 shows the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ).

New Qatari Riyal: Five hundred
