Asian Games: Qatar's Saad Al Din Reaches 400m Freestyle Final

Qatar national team swimmer Saad Al Din Saad Al Din qualified for the men's 400m freestyle final at the 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026, currently being held in Japan and continuing until 4 October. He secured his place during the men's individual swimming competition held today at the Aquatics Centre in the Japanese capital.

Saad Al Din booked his place in the final after recording a time of 3:55.48 in the heats following a highly competitive race, continuing his impressive showing at the continental Games.

The Qatari swimmer is aiming to maintain his strong performance in the final, achieve a notable result for Qatari swimming and further strengthen his presence in Asian competition.

The swimming programme at the Asian Games includes 41 events across individual and relay races.

Qatar is participating in the 20th Asian Games, Aichi-Nagoya 2026, with a 427-member delegation that includes 243 male and female athletes, comprising 184 men and 59 women.
