Three Qatar basketball players join NBA Academy camp in Abu Dhabi

Three players from the Qatar national basketball team are taking part in a development camp organized by the American NBA Academy, currently underway in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates, through Sept. 27.

The participation of Qatar's trio - Azam Mohamed Yakan, Amer Hossawi, and Ahmed Yasin Ismail- is part of the Qatar Basketball Federation's (QBF) approach to developing young talent across the age groups and girding them for professional training programs, while gaining experience and exposure in an international training environment.

Overall, this camp is a consequential milestone in refining the players' skills through a program that substantially focuses on advancing their coaching and physical development, capitalizing on the training expertise offered throughout their gathering in Abu Dhabi.

QBF gives overriding priority to developing youth national teams through engagement in international camps and tournaments, helping cultivate capable young talent capable of representing Qatari basketball in upcoming challenges.

This participation is primarily intended to help the players achieve greater benefit from the program and support their careers
