Qatar has spared no effort in supporting Palestine over the years, be it in the form of providing monetary aidrebuilding housesextending medical support, or advocating for the Palestinian cause at various international meetings.

As the world faces a pandemic, in light of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, Qatar has once again stepped up to offer assistance to the sisterly State of Palestine.

Earlier this week, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani gave directives to provide a financial grant of $360 million to the residents of the Gaza Strip for the year 2021.

The grant comes within the framework of State of Qatar's continued support for brotherly Palestinian people besieged in Gaza, according to Qatar News Agency.

During a meeting between HE the Chairman of Qatar's Gaza Reconstruction Committee Ambassador Mohamed Al Emadi and a delegation from Hamas leadership in the Gaza Strip, the latter expressed their sincere gratitude toward HH the Amir for the grant.

The Hamas movement hailed Qatar's continuous and generous support for the people of Palestine and recognized its efforts toward implementing several important projects. The most significant among these has been the construction of buildings, infrastructure, electricity, humanitarian aid, among others.

The meeting also looked into the political situation and the most recent developments in Palestine. 

Chairman of Qatar's Gaza Reconstruction Committee expressed his great hope for stability in all Palestinian territories after the success of the upcoming election process.

The Chairman also reiterated Qatar's unwavering support to the Palestinian people.
