KAHRAMAA recognised for digital transformation at Google Cloud Summit 2026

Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA) has been honoured at the Google Cloud Summit 2026 for its achievements in digital transformation and the adoption of innovative technology solutions.

KAHRAMAA received the Industry Use Case of the Year recognition, highlighting its efforts to introduce advanced digital technologies across Qatar’s electricity and water sector.

AI and cloud computing at the centre of transformation

According to KAHRAMAA, its digital development efforts include the use of artificial intelligence and cloud computing to improve operational efficiency, enhance services and support smarter ways of working.

The corporation said these initiatives form part of its broader digital transformation journey and support national priorities under Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Digital Agenda 2030.

Award received at Google Cloud Summit

The award was received on behalf of KAHRAMAA by Abdullah Mohsen Al Wahidi, Director of Shared Services Affairs.

The recognition reflects KAHRAMAA’s continued investment in technology as it works to modernise services and strengthen the efficiency of Qatar’s utilities sector.

Supporting smarter utility services

Through greater adoption of AI, cloud platforms and other digital solutions, KAHRAMAA aims to streamline operations and improve how electricity and water services are managed and delivered.

The award adds to Qatar’s wider push to accelerate digital transformation across public-sector organisations and essential services.
