Meta unveils pocket-sized Muse Charm AI device at Connect 2026

Meta has introduced Muse Charm, a compact handheld device designed to provide quick access to the company’s recently launched personal AI agent, Muse.

Unveiled during Meta Connect 2026, Muse Charm is designed to fit in a pocket or attach to a keychain, extending Meta’s AI assistant beyond smartphones, computers and smart glasses.

What is Muse Charm?

Meta describes Muse Charm as a small device built specifically for talking to and interacting with Muse.

According to Meta, the device brings Muse and its real-time voice technology into a portable form factor. TechCrunch reports that the device also features a small display showing Muse’s digital avatar and a fingerprint sensor that can be used to quickly begin an interaction.

Zuckerberg said the aim is to make Muse accessible without requiring users to unlock a phone or launch an app.

Expected to arrive in December

Meta has not yet announced pricing or detailed technical specifications for Muse Charm.

The company says additional information will be revealed later in 2026, while Zuckerberg said the device should be ready to ship in time for the December holiday period.

Muse expands across Meta devices

Muse was introduced earlier in September as Meta’s personal AI agent, designed to handle tasks across connected apps and services and work on a user’s behalf with permission.

At Connect 2026, Meta also announced plans to bring Muse to its AI glasses, giving users another hands-free way to interact with the assistant throughout the day.

Meta also reveals lighter VR glasses

The company additionally unveiled Meta VR Glasses, a new virtual reality device weighing around 100 grams.

The glasses feature a 5K micro-OLED display and separate much of the computing hardware and battery into a connected pocket-sized module. Meta says they will go on sale in spring 2027 for $1,299.99.

Camera-free AI glasses introduced

Meta also introduced Ray-Ban Meta Audio, its first camera-free AI glasses.

The glasses focus on audio, calls, music, translation and access to Muse without including a camera. They start at $349 and are scheduled to ship from October 13.

Together, the announcements signal Meta’s continued push to make its AI services available across a wider range of wearable and portable devices.
