The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) urged residents to disconnect electrical appliances when they are not in use, warning that leaving devices plugged in can increase electricity consumption by up to 10% through standby power.
The corporation said unplugging appliances is a simple energy-saving practice that can significantly reduce unnecessary electricity use.
