Qatar Destroys 13,000 Seized Illegal Bird-Calling Devices

Qatar's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has destroyed around 13,000 bird-calling devices previously seized during inspection and monitoring campaigns in wild areas.

The process was carried out by the ministry's Wildlife Protection Department in cooperation with Seashore Waste Recycling Company. It included sorting the devices' components, recycling reusable materials and safely handling batteries and other parts.

The ministry said the action supports efforts to protect wildlife and regulate hunting practices in Qatar.
