Lusail coach Emanuel Mesquita and Al Shahania coach Younes Ali confirmed their teams' readiness for Saturday's match in Week 5 of the Doha Bank Stars League, stressing the importance of securing a positive result.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Mesquita said Lusail's preparations had gone well during the break, which provided an opportunity to develop technical aspects and give the players sufficient time to regain their readiness. He said Lusail were seeking victory and all three points.
He added that Al Shahania are a good team with talented players, making the match a challenge for both sides. Mesquita said participation in the QSL Cup had allowed the coaching staff to field players who had not received enough playing time, helping improve their readiness.
Lusail player Abdulhadi Qadar Al Awn said the team had completed its physical and technical preparations. He added that the players were determined to deliver a strong performance and secure a positive result.
Al Shahania coach Younes Ali, meanwhile, described the match as difficult given the good performances Lusail have produced. He said his team would seek to continue delivering strong displays and achieving positive results.
He explained that the break gave the coaching staff an opportunity to prepare players who had not featured regularly, address errors from previous matches and develop certain technical aspects. He also confirmed that all players were ready and that the squad had no injuries.
Al Shahania player Mohamed Surag said preparations had been marked by seriousness and focus. He explained that the team used the break to work on technical details, expressed the players' determination to produce a better performance and urged supporters to continue backing the team.
Lusail, newcomers to the Doha Bank Stars League, sit sixth with five points from one win, two draws and one loss. Al Shahania are eighth with four points from one win, one draw and two losses.
