Minister of Endowments Highlights Quranic Centers’ Pivotal Role in Building Generations

HE Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanem affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting Quranic centers, advancing their programmes and educational curricula, and qualifying their teachers and Quran instructors. These efforts strengthen the centers’ role in raising generations on authentic Islamic values and consolidating national identity.

His Excellency said Quranic centers play a pivotal role in building generations, raising them on educational and faith-based values, and strengthening their connection to the Book of Allah Almighty. He noted that caring for those who have memorized the Holy Quran and encouraging them to continue their journey with the Book of Allah reflects appreciation for their efforts and motivates their peers to memorize the Quran, perfect its recitation and act upon it in word and deed.

His remarks came during a ceremony honouring two Qatari students enrolled at Al Noor Quranic Educational Centre after they completed memorizing the entire Holy Quran. The students are Abdullah Ahmed Al-Mahri Al-Mohannadi and Abdulrahman Jamal Yaqoub Al-Jaber.

His Excellency praised the efforts of the educational and administrative teams at Quranic centers in teaching the Book of Allah Almighty and helping young people memorize it. He stressed the importance of the family’s role, parents’ supervision of their children and the partnership between families and Quranic centers in achieving the intended educational objectives.

l Noor Quranic Educational Centre is one of the centers affiliated with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs. It cares for Qatari students and prepares them in Quranic and educational fields through specialized programmes that develop their abilities and strengthen their connection to the Book of Allah Almighty and its values.

The center’s educational programmes combine mastery of memorizing the Holy Quran with a correct understanding of its meanings and the instilling of values and noble morals in students. The two students’ achievement reflects the results of cooperation among the center’s management, teachers and parents, with support from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.

The attention given to Quranic centers aligns with the objectives of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs’ Strategic Plan (2025–2030) concerning the strengthening of values and identity and the building of capabilities. It also complements Qatar National Vision 2030 in the fields of human development and investment in people.
