Simplifying the National Address registration process for domestic workers, the Ministry of Interior tweeted that they can authorize their employers to submit their application after filling and signing it.

“Domestic workers can register their national address using the form for registering domestic workers and authorizing their employer to submit the application to the competent authorities after filling it out and signing it by the worker,” the Ministry of Interior said on its official Twitter account.

It also said that the “required data for national address include residence address, mobile and landline numbers, email address, and work address.”

The Ministry added that “This information will be used to complete your transactions with governmental and non-governmental agencies.”

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has also reminded the public including citizens, residents, and other legal persons in the country, to register their national address through the Metrash2 app or MOI website.

The registration for National Address started on January 27, 2020, and the last date to register this information is July 26, 2020, MOI stated.

Every applicant is responsible for giving the correct information and there is QR10,000 fine for giving false information.

The fine also applies for not registering during the six-month period, which ends on July 26. The fine can be reconciled to QR5,000 before reaching the court.

All individuals residing in Qatar (expatriates and locals) are required to register their national address under the National Address Law (Law No 24 of 2017).

Individuals can also visit the MoI’s unified service centers to register the required information under the National Address Law.

No fees is required for this service.

The National Address came within the framework of the strategic development of e-governance and the completion of the legislative structure necessary for e-government transactions and the transition from the descriptive address to the digital address.

For more information regarding this, you may contact the Ministry on 2350422 from 6.00 am to 1.00 pm.
