HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Companies House Advisory Council, officially launched Companies House on Monday, September 14, 2026.
The new entity will register and license companies operating in Qatar's economic zones, unifying registration and licensing procedures across the Qatar Financial Centre, Qatar Free Zones Authority, Qatar Science & Technology Park and Media City Qatar.
Companies House will also provide tax and immigration services to registered companies and verify compliance with labour standards and data-protection requirements.
Sheikh Faisal said bringing these functions together would enable investors to establish businesses more easily in Qatar's special economic zones and strengthen the competitiveness of the country's investment environment in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
Nasser Al-Taweel has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Companies House.
