Qatar continues to strengthen its relations with friendly countries around the world.

Under the same focus, the country has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Mongolia to initiate political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two nations.

The first round of political consultations took place in Doha yesterday.

Representatives of both countries’ Ministries of Foreign Affairs attended the consultation session.

 

His Excellency Secretary General of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi and State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Davaasuren Damdinsuren presided over the meeting.

The officials discussed Qatar-Mongolia bilateral ties and exchanged views on issues of common interest.

Recently, Qatar had also held its first round of political consultations with Lithuania in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius.
