HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani has highlighted the importance of further strengthening economic, commercial and investment cooperation between Qatar and the Sultanate of Oman.
The Minister stressed the need for continued coordination and exchanges of visits between relevant authorities in both countries to build sustainable strategic partnerships, explore new opportunities for public-private cooperation, support trade and advance bilateral economic and investment relations.
His remarks came during meetings with Omani ministers and senior officials while visiting the Sultanate of Oman. Senior officials and representatives of major Qatari companies also attended the meetings.
HE Sheikh Faisal held separate meetings with Oman's Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Anwar Al Jabri; Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology Said Al Mawali; Minister of Energy and Minerals Salim Al Aufi; Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones Qais Al Yousef; and President of the Oman Investment Authority Abdulsalam Al Murshidi.
The Minister said Qatar and Oman share common goals and ambitions to strengthen bilateral ties and achieve greater economic integration across various sectors.
Trade between Qatar and Oman exceeded USD 1.1 billion in 2025.
Around 722 Omani companies currently operate in the Qatari market. These include 533 wholly Omani-owned companies, 176 joint Qatari-Omani companies and 13 companies registered at the Qatar Financial Centre.
The meetings reflected both countries' commitment to expanding commercial and investment relations, strengthening their strategic partnership and identifying additional opportunities that can support sustainable development and serve their mutual interests.
