Qatar Participates In UNESCO Digital Learning Week 2026

Qatar is taking part in UNESCO’s Digital Learning Week, being held at the organisation’s headquarters in Paris from September 8 to 11, 2026.

The Qatari delegation is led by Dr Nouf Al-Suwaidi, Secretary-General of the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science. Representatives from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology are also attending.

The event is examining global developments and trends in the digital transformation of education, including the effective use of modern technologies and artificial intelligence to improve education quality and expand access.

Discussions are also focusing on international cooperation, the exchange of expertise, policy frameworks for using technology and AI in education, and the development of teachers’ and learners’ digital skills.

Participants are highlighting the importance of ensuring digital education is inclusive, safe and equitable, while preparing education systems for the future. UNESCO’s 2026 Digital Learning Week is being held under the theme "Education in the age of AI: Facts, Frictions, Frontiers."
