1. Ramadan Festival 2019

Dates: May 5 – May 25, 2019
Time: 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and 7:30 pm to 1:00 am
Where: The Cultural Village Foundation-Katara

The Cultural Village Foundation-Katara inaugurated Katara’s Ramadan Festival which is located at Katara’s southern area.
The festival features an array of activities for families. It offers beautiful traditional dresses for women, men, and children, a selection of Arabian perfumes and ouds, wide range of spices from different countries, traditional handicrafts from Iran, exotic home décor items and many more all under one roof.
Katara adorned with light decorations that best suit the spiritual ambiance of the Holy month. Some of the decorations that adorned the entrances to the Cultural Village, where decorated with Ramadan Greetings, and illuminated with lights shaped like minarets and lanterns in vivid colors.

2. Indoor Cricket League

Dates: May 10 - May 24, 2019

Where: Lusail Indoor Arena

As a part of Qatar- India Year of Culture 2019, Radio ONE FM- 89.6 is hosting Indoor Cricket League during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The event is organized under the valued support of Ministry of Culture & Sports, Qatar Museums and Qatar Foundation.
The first-of-its-kind tournament is all set to commence on May 10 and run until May 24, 2019, at Lusail Indoor Arena from 8:00 pm. The grand opening ceremony of the tournament will be on May 10, 2019, which will display a brief history of cricket.
The event will not only serve the sports lovers but will also take care of Ramadan treat! It will include food courts and cricket games for kids making it an evening for families.
The event will consist of 12 teams which will be divided into 4 pools. The teams in each pool will play on a straight league basis. The top 2 teams from each pool will qualify to play in the Quarter Finals. This is a 7 side indoor tournament played with a taped soft tennis balls. All the matches until the finals will be of 6 overs a side.
The tournament will witness teams from organizations including the Ministry of Culture and sports, Qatar Foundation, Qatar Museums, and Qatar Financial Centre.
3. Quran Memorization Competition

Dates: Runs until May 29, 2019
Where: Cultural Village Foundation- Katara
Entry: Entry is free for all
Cultural Village Foundation- Katara is hosting the third edition of Quran Memorization Competition for children daily inside Katara Mosque until May 29.
4. The Holy Kaaba Exhibition

Dates: Runs until October 1, 2019
Time: 09:00 am to 04:00 pm, Saturday to Thursday-
Where: Heritage Library Permanent Exhibition Area, Qatar National Library, Education City

If you’re prepping for Ramadan and looking forward to enriching your knowledge of Islam, why not have a look at a very interesting exhibition underway at Qatar National Library (QNL) until October 1?
The ‘Holy Kaaba Exhibition’ offers an exquisite look at the history of the cube-structured building, which is at the center of Islam’s most sacred mosque in the city of Makkah and is the most sacred site of Islam.
The exhibit offers visitors a great opportunity to learn about the stages of the Holy Kaaba’s construction and its architectural features and adornment.
The items on display draw attention to the religious and spiritual significance of the Holy Kaaba and reflect the deep effect the site has had on visitors for many centuries.
In addition to serving as an educational opportunity for visitors, the exhibition affirms the QNL’s influence as an institution of reference for Islamic history and the Arab culture, regionally and beyond.
During this month, as well as in the coming days of Ramadan, visitors to QNL will be able to engage in activities that highlight topics connected to faith.
5. Blood donation during Ramadan

Dates: During Ramadan 2019
Time: Sunday to Thursday: 8:00 am to 1:00 pm (non-fasting people) and 6:00 pm to 12:00 am and Saturday: 6:00 pm to 12:00 am
Where: Hamad Blood Donor Centre
Entry: Entry is free for all
Blood donation can be one of the best ways of helping a person in need.
If you are looking forward to it, you can head to Hamad Blood Donor Centre is open during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Blood donor unit at Hamad also conducts many awareness programs and events that promote this life-saving venture.
6. Live the Ramadan Experience at Mall of Qatar

Dates: Daily, until June 3
Time: 09:00 pm to 01:00 am
Where: West Gate 1, Mall of Qatar
Entry: Entry is free for all
Mall of Qatar invites everyone to live the Ramadan experience throughout the holy month.
Kids can learn Arabic calligraphy, create prayer pads, lanterns, puppets and much more. There is also a henna station is available for all the henna lovers!
During the weekends, a storyteller brings to life traditional stories at the activation area. Moreover, everyone can enjoy traditional Oud and Kanoon at the Oasis from 9 pm to 12.30 am.
