Saturn and Moon to appear close together in Qatar’s sky on Tuesday, July 7
Qatar’s astronomy enthusiasts will have a chance tonight to enjoy a striking night sky display as Saturn appears close to the Moon.
The Qatar Calendar House said the two celestial bodies will be visible together to the naked eye above the eastern horizon after Saturn rises at 11:18pm on Tuesday, remaining in view until shortly before sunrise on Wednesday, July 8.
People can observe the celestial event without using binoculars or telescopes.
Although Saturn can be seen with the naked eye, its famous ring system is visible through astronomical telescopes, offering a more detailed view of one of the solar system’s most recognisable planets.
