Qatar’s General Directorate of Traffic has called on owners of vehicles that have been impounded for more than three months to come forward and reclaim them.
In an announcement, the department urged owners whose impoundment period ‘has exceeded three months or more’ to visit the Vehicle Impoundment Section in the Industrial Area, Street 52, starting Sunday, August 9.
They are required to complete the necessary procedures, settle outstanding traffic violations and storage fees, and collect their vehicles within 30 days from that date.
The directive is part of efforts to clear long‑abandoned vehicles from impound yards and ensure that seized cars are either reclaimed by their owners or dealt with in line with regulations.
The General Directorate of Traffic warned that if owners fail to visit the department within the specified period, the vehicles will be offered for sale in accordance with the applicable procedures.
