MoPH detects 27 individuals for submitting false certificates to obtain healthcare licences

Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) permanently barred 27 people from working in the country’s healthcare sector after discovering they had submitted falsified experience certificates as part of applications for healthcare practice licences in the first half of this year.

Dr Saad Al Kaabi, Director of the Department of Healthcare Professions (DHP), said the verification of applicants’ credentials takes place at the initial stages of the registration and licensing process, allowing fraudulent applications to be detected early.

He stressed that MoPH is committed to maintaining the highest standards for licensing international healthcare practitioners, ensuring that only highly qualified professionals are authorised to provide safe, high-quality medical services in Qatar.

The ministry noted that a rigorous verification process is applied to applicants’ academic qualifications and practical experience, in collaboration with specialised institutions that confirm the authenticity and reliability of the information provided.
