GWM takes the school run across 30+ schools this Back-to-School season

GWM brings families, schools and communities together across 30+ schools in the region through a series of experiences focused on fun, safety and the school journey

As families across the region settle back into the school routine, Great Wall Motor (GWM) Middle East is using the Back-to-School season to connect with families in a way that goes beyond the traditional school run, taking its campaign to more than 30 schools across the region.

The regional activation brings together entertainment, community engagement and practical safety messaging, with experiences designed to make the daily journey to and from school more engaging for children and more meaningful for parents.

As part of the campaign, radio personalities travelled to schools in GWM vehicles, bringing their audiences along for the journey through on-air and social content. Interactive experiences gave students an opportunity to engage with the brand in a playful way, while practical safe-driving content encouraged parents and drivers to think about the small things that can make a difference during the busy school rush.

At a time when the school run quickly becomes part of the rhythm of family life, GWM is also putting a spotlight on the role that safety plays in these everyday journeys. This is supported by the safety technologies available across GWM’s SUV range, including models such as the Haval V7, H9, Jolion Max and TANK 500, Tank 700 which incorporate intelligent driver-assistance systems designed to support drivers and help them remain aware of their surroundings. Technologies such as collision warning, automatic emergency braking and lane-keeping assistance, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and 360-degree surround view cameras provide an added layer of support when navigating busy roads. Other technologies, including Traffic Jam Assist and voice commands, are designed to make driving more convenient and intuitive, particularly during busy everyday journeys.

The focus on safety is supported by GWM’s long-term investment in vehicle testing and development. The company recently reached its 4,000th V7 vehicle crash test, reflecting more than three decades of work focused on rigorous validation and occupant protection. Safety is incorporated into vehicle development from the outset, bringing together structural design, restraint systems and intelligent safety technologies to help protect occupants in the event of a collision.

“At GWM, safety is not just about technology in the vehicle; it is about the confidence families feel every time they get behind the wheel. That is the spirit behind our Back-to-School initiative,” said Sunny Bhat, Chief Operating Officer for GWM Middle East.

The activation reflects GWM’s wider approach to building stronger connections with consumers across the region, using experiences, partnerships and content to make the brand part of conversations and moments that matter in everyday life.

For GWM, Back-to-School is ultimately about recognising that the school journey is about more than simply getting from home to the classroom. It is time spent together, part of the daily family routine and an opportunity to create safer, more positive journeys for everyone on the road.

Across the Middle East, GWM offers a diverse range of vehicles designed to meet different customer needs, from family SUVs to luxury off-road models and pickups. The regional portfolio includes models from the Haval range such as the Jolion, Jolion Max, H6, H7, V7, H9 and from the Tank range the TANK 300, TANK 500, TANK 700. The pick-up range includes the Poer lifestyle pick-up, the Wingle 5 and Wingle 7 in the commercial range with each offering a combination of distinctive design, advanced technology, comfort and safety.
