Jupiter and crescent moon to appear together in Qatar’s pre-dawn sky

Residents in Qatar will have the chance to see Jupiter appearing close to the waning crescent moon in the early hours of Wednesday, September 9.

According to Qatar Calendar House, the astronomical pairing will be visible above the eastern horizon after the moon rises at around 3:16 am and can be observed until shortly before sunrise.

No telescope is required, as both Jupiter and the crescent moon should be visible to the naked eye, weather and visibility permitting.
