Qatar’s Department of Meteorology has warned of poor horizontal visibility at first and thundery rain in some areas during the afternoon on Saturday.

In its daily weather report, the department said inshore areas would be misty to foggy at first, becoming hot during the daytime, with a chance of local rain clouds in the afternoon that may be accompanied by thunder in some areas.

Offshore, the weather will be hazy with scattered clouds.

Winds inshore will be variable, mainly northwesterly to northeasterly at 3 to 13 knots, reaching up to 30 knots at times with rain in the afternoon. Offshore, winds will also be variable, mainly southeasterly to northeasterly at 4 to 14 knots.

The sea level will range between one and three feet inshore and between two and four feet offshore.

Visibility will range between 4 and 9 km inshore, dropping to 2 km or less in some areas at first. Offshore visibility will range between 4 and 9 km.
