Qatar’s Public Works Authority, Ashghal, is reminding residents to provide complete location and contact information when reporting issues during the rainy season to help response teams deal with cases more quickly.
Residents submitting a report are asked to provide three key pieces of information:
- their mobile number;
- QID number; and
- details from the blue address plate at the affected location.
Ashghal says providing the requested information helps its teams identify the location accurately and respond to reports more efficiently.
What are the blue address plate details?
The blue address plate displayed outside buildings in Qatar provides the location information used by government services.
It normally includes:
- Building number
- Street number
- Zone number
Providing these details can help Ashghal teams pinpoint the affected location without delays.
Qatar’s official National Address system also uses building, street and zone numbers to identify residential locations.
How can you contact Ashghal?
Residents can submit reports and service requests through:
Ashghal 360 mobile app
The app allows users to submit service requests and complaints and provide location information and supporting photographs.
Contact Center: 188
Ashghal’s official website continues to list 188 as its customer Contact Center number.
Ashghal e-services portal
Residents can also access online services through Ashghal’s official website.
Ashghal’s complaint system allows users to attach photographs and provide the location of the issue. Its guidance notes that inaccurate location information can delay resolution.
Preparing for Qatar’s rainy season
Ashghal periodically reminds residents to use its official communication channels during rainfall and to provide complete details when reporting problems.
The Authority previously issued the same guidance during heavy rainfall in March 2026, stressing that complete information helps ensure a faster response.
Residents are encouraged to include clear photographs where possible and ensure that the location provided matches the actual site of the issue.
