Having recently announced an exciting Fall/Winter exhibition lineup, Qatar Museums (QM) is proving summer can be just as eventful with a public programme featuring workshops, exhibitions, family drop-ins, and summer camps across its museums and creative spaces.
Throughout July, visitors can enjoy a season of creative discovery and cultural engagement, with experiences designed to inspire learning, spark imagination, and deepen connections with Qatar’s rich heritage and contemporary culture.
The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) will present a diverse programme of calligraphy, geometry, storytelling, literature, and family activities this July, offering visitors of all ages opportunities to explore artistic traditions and cultural heritage through hands-on experiences inspired by the museum’s collection.
Saturday Story Time: Cora Cooks Pancit
Date: July 4
Time: 11am to 12pm (Arabic and English)

A monthly story time and colouring session takes place at the MIA Library for children aged 3 to 8. This month’s programme is inspired by Cora Cooks Pancit, offering young visitors an engaging literary experience followed by creative activities. Registrations can be done here.
Naskh Beginners (Women)

A beginner-level calligraphy workshop for women introduces Naskh, one of the oldest and most widely used forms of Arabic calligraphy. Renowned for its clarity and elegance, the script has long been used in manuscripts and Qur’anic writing, making it an ideal introduction to the foundations of Arabic calligraphy. An intermediate-level workshop for children and youth explores the Ruq’ah script, the last major form of Arabic calligraphy developed during the Ottoman period. Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art presents Beat the Heat Summer Camp 2026

The month-long summer programme will feature workshops, gallery experiences, and creative activities for all ages in Arabic, English, and bilingual formats. Inspired by the museum’s exhibitions, collection, and creative spaces, the programme encourages artistic exploration through four themed weeks of hands-on learning.

July 5 to 9: Making the Unseen (ages 6 to 10), featuring sculpture-making, creative building activities, and AI-powered art experiences.
July 12 to 16: Inside the Museum (ages 10 to 14), offers exhibition tours, gallery scavenger hunts, film discussions, sculpture workshops, and library-based activities.

The Museum is Ours: Discover Archaeology

Presented by the Archaeology Department, the National Museum of Qatar’s ‘The Museum is Ours’ programme introduces young participants to the fascinating work of archaeologists in this hands-on workshop. Design Your Table Lamp – Patchwork Edition

The National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) invites the public to explore Qatar’s rich craft traditions through the Mahara Program, a series of hands-on workshops designed to celebrate traditional craftsmanship and help preserve the nation’s cultural heritage through practical learning.
Traditional Sunduq Al-Mubayat Making

This NMoQ workshop explores the cultural significance of the Sunduq Al-Mubayat, a traditional Qatari overnight travel trunk used to carry personal belongings during stays away from home. Participants will learn how to craft the chest using traditional techniques, helping to preserve and pass on an important aspect of Qatar's cultural heritage to future generations. Dadu Children’s Museum of Qatar launches the first edition of Dadu Startup Club this July, a summer entrepreneurship programme designed for children aged 8 to 12. Taking place at Dadu Gardens, the programme introduces young participants to creativity, innovation, and business through hands-on, play-based learning.

Dadu Startup Club introduces children aged 8 to 12 to entrepreneurship through eight hands-on sessions, where they will develop a business idea, create a brand, design and market a product, and manage a budget.
