International reserves and foreign currency liquidity at Qatar Central Bank reached QAR 262.114 billion in June 2026, marking a 1.24% increase compared with QAR 258.898 billion recorded in the same month last year.

According to data issued by QCB, official international reserves also grew by the end of June 2026, rising 1.48% year-on-year. This represented an increase of QAR 2.963 billion, bringing the total to QAR 202.629 billion.

The data showed a decline in QCB’s holdings of foreign bonds and treasury bills, which fell by around QAR 34.980 billion to reach QAR 97.160 billion in June 2026 compared with June 2025.

QCB’s official reserves are made up of several components, including foreign bonds and treasury bills, cash balances with foreign banks, gold holdings, Special Drawing Rights deposits, Qatar’s quota at the International Monetary Fund, and other liquid foreign-currency assets. These components together form total international reserves.

Gold holdings recorded a notable rise during the same period, increasing by around QAR 10.099 billion to reach QAR 54.595 billion by the end of June 2026, compared with QAR 44.496 billion in June 2025.

Balances held with foreign banks also increased, rising by approximately QAR 27.919 billion to QAR 45.687 billion by the end of June 2026.

Meanwhile, Special Drawing Rights deposits linked to Qatar’s share at the International Monetary Fund declined by QAR 75 million compared with June 2025, reaching QAR 5.186 billion by the end of June 2026.
