2026 Emmy Awards: Widow's Bay, The Pitt Among Major Winners

The 2026 Primetime Emmy Awards concluded with Apple TV+'s horror-comedy series Widow's Bay winning Outstanding Comedy Series and several acting awards.

Matthew Rhys won Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for Widow's Bay, while Kate O'Flynn and Stephen Root won supporting acting awards for the series. Jean Smart received her fifth consecutive Emmy for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Hacks.

HBO Max's The Pitt won Outstanding Drama Series for the second consecutive year, with Noah Wyle repeating his win for Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Rhea Seehorn won Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Pluribus.

DTF St. Louis won Outstanding Limited Series, while Remarkably Bright Creatures won Outstanding Television Movie. Sally Field won Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for the film.

Other major winners included The Late Show with Stephen Colbert for Variety Series, The Traitors for Reality Competition Programme and Alan Cumming for Reality or Reality Competition Programme Host.
