HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al-Mohannadi today launched the new website of the Legal and Judicial Journal, during the graduation ceremony of the members of the qualifying and mandatory training programs organized by the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at the Ministry of Justice for the year 2026.
This website is the first of its kind for the journal, which is concerned with publishing refereed legal research and studies, supporting legal scientific research among academics and specialists, and spreading legal knowledge among various segments of society.
The journal is published by the Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, a specialized peer-reviewed scientific journal published on a semi-annual basis, and its first issue was published in 2007.
The journal includes sections for legal research, studies and commentaries, in which law professors, magistrates, prosecutors, lawyers and other researchers in the legal field participate, which allows the presentation of specialized studies on legal and judicial issues, and deals with analytical and comparative legal research and studies, in addition to specialized commentaries on legislation, judicial rulings and international conventions.
The Legal and Judicial Journal also dedicates a section entitled: "From the Judiciary of the Court of Cassation" to the publication of the most important rulings of the Qatar Court of Cassation and the legal principles derived from them, and a section on legal fatwas that presents the most prominent fatwas issued by the Fatwa and Studies Department at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, with their analysis and the extraction of the principles it has established.
The launch of the website comes within the framework of the Ministry of Justice's efforts to promote digital transformation, in line with the objectives of its strategic plan 2025-2030, by employing modern technologies in the development of legal services and facilitating access to legal and judicial knowledge, in a way that supports the Ministry's efforts to enhance institutional excellence and consolidate a culture of innovation and continuous development.
