The Community College of Qatar celebrated the graduation of 1,162 diploma and bachelor's degree holders today as part of its 15th graduating class of 2026. It is the largest class in the college's 16-year history.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies, ministers and ambassadors, alongside academics, faculty and administrative staff, and the graduates' parents.
The Class of 2026 recorded an increase in graduate numbers compared with the previous two years. Around 872 students graduated in 2024, while approximately 860 graduated in 2025.
Speaking at the ceremony, Community College of Qatar President Dr. Khalid Mohammed Al Horr said the achievement reflects the college's success in developing a flexible and sustainable educational model that meets labour market needs. He added that the model helps prepare and empower national talent to participate in sustainable development in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.
Dr. Al Horr explained that cooperation is one of the college's core values and underpins its approach to building partnerships with national institutions. He said seven strategic partnerships had been concluded this year, including a partnership with the National Cyber Security Agency to protect cyberspace and another with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, which resulted in the graduation of the first cohort from the Associate Diploma in Islamic Daawa programme.
He also noted that the college continues to provide educational and development opportunities for different segments of society. Six students graduated after continuing their studies inside correctional and rehabilitation institutions, an experience reflecting the importance of education in creating opportunities for individuals regardless of their circumstances.
The college president called on the graduates to apply their knowledge through work and productivity and to continue contributing to their community and country. He encouraged them to take the initiative in creating opportunities and to fulfil their responsibilities in supporting the development process.
Graduate Latifa Turki Methqal, who earned a bachelor's degree in human resources management, said in an address on behalf of the graduates that graduation was the fruit of determination, perseverance and the ability to overcome challenges. She noted that a number of graduates had balanced their studies with work and family responsibilities to achieve their academic goals.
The graduates were drawn from the college's three academic divisions: administrative sciences, science and technology, and arts and humanities. The academic programmes are supported by an educational system holding full national institutional accreditation for five years, alongside international accreditations for several programmes in cybersecurity, information technology, logistics and supply chain management.
