GCC Honours Outstanding Qatari Youth and "Fazat Al-Adaam Youth" Initiative

The General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf has honoured a number of Qatari youth for distinguished achievements and initiatives, alongside the "Fazat Al-Adaam Youth" initiative.

Fatima Saad Al Mohannadi and Saud Al Emadi were recognised in the outstanding creative youth category, while "Fazat Al-Adaam Youth" was honoured in the pioneering community initiatives in youth work category.

Al Mohannadi has represented Qatar as a youth delegate to the United Nations and participated in international forums focused on youth, peace, security and human rights.

Her achievements also include receiving the Platinum Medal in the Qatar Award for Scientific Excellence, placing third in the "Qatar Datathon Award 2025", and representing the Qatar National Debate Team in English, where she achieved advanced international rankings.

Saud Al Emadi is a chemical engineer, entrepreneur and youth trainer specialising in entrepreneurship, with contributions focused on sustainable projects, youth empowerment and developing innovative ideas into scalable ventures.

Through his projects, he contributed to replacing more than 10 tonnes of conventional plastic with environmentally friendly alternatives and mentored more than 20 startup founders.

He also participated as part of the Ministry of Sports and Youth delegation to the Moroccan-Gulf Forum on Youth Economic and Social Empowerment.

The "Fazat Al-Adaam Youth" initiative was launched in 2023 by graduates of the Youth Leadership Preparation Program in Humanitarian and Development Work organised by the Ministry of Sports and Youth.

The group continued its community work by launching humanitarian and social initiatives supporting workers, older people, children and persons with disabilities, alongside health and environmental awareness programmes.

Its initiatives have included "Jabr Khawater", "Azhari" for breast cancer awareness, "Tawaddoo Tarahamu", the distribution of Iftar meals and visits to patients without family support.

Nearly 10,000 people from different segments of society have benefited from the team's initiatives and activities.

The recognition reflects the Ministry of Sports and Youth's continued efforts to support and empower Qatari youth through programmes that build their capabilities, develop their skills and expand their participation in youth and community activities.
