Light-coloured, long-sleeved clothing helps reduce bites, especially in the evenings.
5. Maintain cleanliness
Dispose of waste properly and keep surroundings clean to avoid attracting insects.

Wash the area with soap and water. Apply ice to reduce bumps and swelling. Use a calamine lotion or hydrocortisone cream to reduce itching. Avoid scratching as it can leave a mark or cause an infection. Take antihistamines if you have allergies.
